Streakwave Introduces Tarana’s Fixed Wireless Network in Australia

Wireless communications equipment distributor Streakwave and fixed wireless access technology company Tarana have partnered to leverage Tarana’s G1 platform for wireless Internet service providers, managed service providers and other multipoint wireless network operators in Australia.

streakwave claims to be the first official distributor of Tarana G1 in Australia and the Pacific Islands.

Capable of providing connectivity in non-line-of-sight (NLoS) scenarios – which Streakwave says is a major limitation of previous technologies – the G1 platform allows operators to extend their network reach while remaining fast and less expensive to deploy than fiber optics.

streakwave says Tarana devoted more than a decade of research and development to its true interference cancellation in the 5 GHz band.

In addition to unveiling the G1 platform, Tarana also plans to launch 6 GHz G1 radio models next year.

Tarana has also introduced two additional 40 megahertz carriers that double the network speeds of its platform.

It claims it can provide up to 1.6 Gbps of aggregate capacity per link.

“G1 is a great addition to our portfolio and to the next generation of wireless technology. Tarana’s products are equipped with all the features WISPs need to deliver exceptional speed and reach to customers, without the complexity of previous solutions,” said Streakwave CEO. davin spinner.

“Streakwave’s commitment to providing its customers with the latest wireless innovations is critical to bridging the digital divide. G1 will accelerate progress towards this overarching goal,” added Tarana CEO Basil Alwan.

Learn more about the partnership and how you can purchase Tarana G1 through Streakwave Australia at CommsConnect (Booth #53) in Melbourne from October 18-20.
